A commission starts with something you already have in mind. A stone you inherited, a shape you keep looking for, a piece you want remade in solid gold instead of whatever it currently is. We design it together, and it is hand fabricated in our South Florida studio in 14k solid gold or 925 sterling silver. 

How it works

1. Tell me what you’re thinking. A sketch, a description, an occasion, a photo of the piece you want reworked. Anything is enough to start. Reference images can be emailed to lauren@itsbylo.com.

2. We get on a call. This is where the piece actually takes shape. I ask questions, show you references, and find out what you like and what you don’t, which is often the more useful half. You leave the call with a rough estimate on budget and timing, so you know what you’re working with before anything is committed.

3. The design process begins. I develop the piece, source stones, and come back to you with direction to approve. Once the design is settled, fabrication starts. Please allow 4–6 weeks; most pieces are finished sooner.

4. Deposit up front, balance on completion. A deposit secures your place in the studio calendar and covers materials. The remaining balance is due when the piece is finished, before it ships.

What to expect

Commissions generally start around $1,700 and move up from there depending on metal weight, stones, and complexity. If you already have a stone, bring it. If you don’t, I will source it.

Custom pieces are final sale. Because each one is made to your specifications, they cannot be returned or exchanged.
